She is a graduate of the Piedmont Yoga Advanced Studies Program and the Forrest Yoga Teacher training program. She is a Faculty Instructor at Yoga Journal and teaches at The Claremont Hotel and her own home studio.

An lyengar trained and Ashtanga-influenced Hatha yoga teacher and current resident yoga instructor with the Esalen Institute in Big Sur California. Mr. Fortel hosts an annual spring workshop at Wilbur Hot Springs.
