THE WILBUR PHILOSOPHY
Sustaining Wilbur Hot Springs Hotel and Preserve as the perfect place to relax.

A FREE FORM RETREAT
Wilbur Hot Springs is a free-
form retreat, unobstructed by structure or dogma, self-
directed by mutual respect,
and is the creation of everyone who comes here. In short, it's organic."—RD

TIME TO SLOW DOWN
"Take a course in good water and air and in the eternal youth of Nature you may renew your own. Go quietly, alone no harm will befall you." — John Muir
Winters are mild, and although we have occasional snowfall, daytime temperatures average in the 50's. Rainfall enlivens Sulfur Creek, which flows alongside our Fluminarium. Listen to the raindrops on the roof. Curl up with a good book in the comfort of the Library or the privacy of your own room.
|
Wander down to the baths for a relaxing soak whenever you wish. Feel yourself slow down deep inside. Release the distractions that keep you from caring for yourself. Rediscover your natural rhythm. Replenish your essence as the earth is replenished and renewed.
If you're driving up from points South, we recommend driving through the Capay Valley (Route 16) to enjoy the almond blossoms!

NOTES FROM THE CARETAKER
Dear Friends of Wilbur:
Perhaps I am preaching to the choir when I state that staying healthy and out of the medical system is much more effective than dealing, after the fact, with illness and/or disease. Staying healthy includes doing what it takes to insure that the immune system functions at an A level. For the immune system to function at an A level we must make the internal decision that this level of functioning is what we want and is what we are willing to work for.
|
Yes, I did say work for. It takes work and discipline to eat a highly nutritious diet, get sufficient physical exercise, sleep for an adequate number of hours, stretch out the muscles, clear the mind, expand consciousness, heal wounds, forgive, and participate in generative relationships.
Wilbur Hot Springs is a perfect place for building the immune system and for planning ways of obtaining an A in Immune System Building 101.
Wishing you strong immunity,
Richard
