TIME TO SLOW DOWN

Summer is almost here—the Wilbur skies are dazzling blue and sunny! We are ready for the sunshine with a selection of fun sun hats and lovely sarongs in our little Country Store. You'll find many items to help you relax and enjoy your stay, and take home as a keepsake. We have colorful woven baskets, Wilbur T-shirts, robes and much more!

POSITIONS AVAILABLE

Front Desk/Reception: Are you a friendly nature-lover with an aptitude for details and multi-tasking? We are looking for a person with hospitality/customer service experience and basic computer skills for a Full-time Desk/Reception position to join us here as a Wilbur resident. Job includes full use of Wilbur facilities and grounds, plus wages, board and health benefits.

Late Night Attendant: Part-time, 20-23 hour a week position, involves evening kitchen work and light housekeeping. Housing and a food allowance provided.

ANNOUNCEMENTS

Wilbur is proud to announce that our very own Assistant Manager, Meg Solaegui, is now a member of the American Photographic Artists. The APA is a trade association that promotes and protects the interests of commercial, editorial and corporate photographers, with the goal of mentoring imagemakers throughout the United States.

Meg has been documenting the beauty and splendor of Wilbur and our Nature Preserve for the past 14 years. Her photos feature unique perspectives and preserve the legacy of Dr. Richard Louis Miller, Wilbur Caretaker since 1972. Many of you have seen her work in our newsletter—see the photo gallery of her shots of the Wilbur Nature Preserve at left —and throughout our website. Congratulations Meg!

GUEST CHEF WEEKEND

Wilbur's Guest Chef weekend for June will take place June 22-24 with chef Marion Cascio. For more information on guest chef at Wilbur, click here.

EVENTS *Yoga with Sarana Miller and Charu Rachlis/Guest Chef Weekend with Marion Cascio:* June 22-24.
		Please join Sarana for a weekend of breathing, chanting, asana and soaking in the healing mineral waters of Wilbur. Come strengthen your practice while relaxing and rejuvenating your body and mind. We'll step back from our daily routines and retreat to this sacred land, home to healing waters that have been used for renewal for centuries. Students will practice yoga on Wilbur's beautiful yoga deck, cradled in nature with the sounds of the breeze and the creek. We will begin each day with chanting and pranayama, followed by breakfast and then an active morning session. In the afternoon there will be time for bathing, hiking, massage and personal time. We will gather in the late afternoon for a restorative session followed by a delicious dinner. Weekend fee includes: • 5 organic meals with Chef Marion Cascio • 5 yoga sessions • 2 nights' accommodations (including use of baths, sauna and grounds)

Solstice Yoga & Healing Workshop with Rebecca Webb and Elise Collins: Saturday, Jun 16th
Celebrate Solstice with an extended yoga practice dedicated to healing and transformation. Dive into a heart awakening, hip opening and core strengthening series of active yoga poses. Then drop into a luxurious restorative practice designed to facilitate deep healing and rejuvenation. Each participant will receive hands on healings to open and unblock the body's subtle energy channels. We welcome yogis of all levels.
Elise Collins teaches an integrative style of Hatha yoga that blends attention to body alignment with inner focus. Elise has been a student of yoga and many healing modalities, meditation, and visualization for over 20 years. In addition to teaching yoga in San Francisco, Elise gives workshops and offers private clairvoyant sessions. She is the author of Chakra Tonics, Essential Elixirs for Body, Mind and Spirit and An A-Z Guide to Healing Foods. NOTES FROM THE CARETAKER
Dear Friends of Wilbur: In 1999, I created a 1,560 acre Nature Preserve, adjacent to Wilbur Hot Springs, and opened the Preserve for the exclusive use of Wilbur's registered guests. The Nature Preserve, containing a wide variety of flora, fauna, and wild animals, along with trails for walking, hiking, biking, meditating, picnicking and a real geothermal geyser, is a unique treasure. While at Wilbur, my family and I live in the Preserve, along with my two dogs, Dr. Ben Franklin and his sweetheart, Abigail Adams. You'll often see us riding our bicycles with the doggies running along side. Next time you are at Wilbur be sure and check out the Nature Preserve which is a short walk from the historic Wilbur Springs Hotel, and is open during day light hours. The good folks at the front desk will tell you how to get there and will provide a map. And, please be sure say hello if you see me around the hotel.
